Air Fryer Error Code E1: Reasons and Fixes

Encountering issues with electronic devices can be quite exasperating. Regardless of the appliance you are using, there is always a possibility of it malfunctioning due to various reasons such as user error, wear and tear, or manufacturing defects. It can be challenging to determine the root cause of the problem, but our only option is to find a solution to fix it.

Throughout my years of using air fryers from different manufacturers, I have encountered only two error codes – E1 and E2, which I assume stand for “Error 1” and “Error 2”.

Upon encountering Air Fryer Error Code E1 and experiencing a halt in the cooking process, my initial assumption was that I had made an error. However, after seeking assistance from customer support, I realized that the issue was not caused by my actions. In order to assist those who may encounter similar difficulties, I conducted thorough research on the matter.

If your air fryer is showing the E1 or Error 1 code, it means that there are internal electrical issues that could be either temporary or permanent. It is recommended to contact customer support immediately and request a replacement if the appliance fails to start after cooling down.

For providing more precise information, it is necessary to have knowledge about the brand and model in question.

It is evident from below that the interpretation of the code varies among different brands.

What the E1 Code Means On Different Air Fryer Models

The E1 code signifies a specific issue as stated in the instruction manuals:

  • E1 Code on Gourmia Air Fryers indicates that either the pan is missing or not compatible with the fryer.
  • FIX: If you encounter error codes E1, E2, or E7 on your air fryer, make sure to verify if the cookware being used is appropriate or wait for the appliance to cool down before turning it back on.
  • The E1 error code in the Power Air Fryer indicates a malfunctioning thermal sensor circuit.
  • RESOLUTION: Contact the customer support team
  • E1 Code on the Nuwave Brio Air Fryer indicates that the sensor is open-ended.
  • FIX: Get in touch with the customer support team
  • E1 Code on the Master Culinary Air Fryer indicates a malfunction in the system.

  • E1 Code on the GoWise Air Fryer indicates that the sensor is open-ended.
  • FIX: Get in touch with the customer support team
  • E1 Code in Cook’s Essential Air Fryer indicates a faulty sensor circuit.

The meaning of the e1 error code can differ among different brands of air fryers, with some models flashing the code while others do not. Despite these slight variations, it is clear that an air fryer displaying the e1 message indicates that there is an issue that needs to be addressed.

It is advisable to address any issues with your air fryer promptly, as most models are covered by a 12-month warranty. Contacting customer support early can expedite the process of receiving a replacement air fryer or parts.

After experiencing issues with my Power XL air fryer, I reached out to the manufacturer and was informed that a replacement was necessary. Shortly after, I received a brand new air fryer which worked perfectly.

Other Reasons Why an Air Fryer Doesn’t Start

Beginning with the most frequent and simplest to resolve

  • Improper insertion of the power cord: Ensure that the plug is firmly pushed into the socket until it is fully inserted.
  • Malfunctioning outlet circuit: Verify if the outlet functions properly by plugging in other devices. It is possible that the air fryer is functioning correctly, but the socket is not.
  • Damaged connection cord: In case the cord or its connection inside the air fryer is damaged, it is recommended to either replace the appliance or take it to a repair shop.
  • Malfunctioning air fryer: In case your air fryer fails to start, it is highly probable that the appliance has stopped functioning and needs to be substituted.
